About the event
They’re back! Anna Porter Porter Public Library will celebrate the conclusion of the very successful program, the Our Story Series, with a performance by Boogertown Gap - Old-Time String Band. The topic will be “Music of the Civil War,” where band members, Ruth Barber and Keith Watson, tell stories and perform ballads and songs about the Civil War in the Appalachians.
Band members Ruth Barber and Keith Watson have performed in Sevier County since 2006 and have released 5 albums. They both have deep roots here in the Smokies and are excited to be back at the library. Boogertown Gap - Old-Time String Band will be performing at the library on Thursday, November 13, at 6 p.m. in the local history room. The event is FREE, and no registration is required.
