Kelsey Jones

Kelsey Jones is the Director of Anna Porter Public Library. She’s been in the position for just over a year, and continues to learn new things and new means of tackling obstacles everyday. She has been employed at Anna Porter Public Library since February 2016 and worked her way up from Library Assistant to where she is today. She is originally from Paris, TN in the North West region of the state. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in English Literature at Bethel University in December 2014, and her Master’s of Information Sciences Degree at the University of Tennessee in May 2019.

Kelsey has worked in the public library field on and off for just over 8 years and grows to love the job more each year. She began her journey in the library field by working part time during summer vacations while studying at Bethel University. From her first summer as the Youth Services Coordinator’s assistant, she knew it was the career path for her.

Kelsey has a passion for working with others, and especially enjoys offering assistance with technology. Making a connection, educating patrons on how to use technology, and informing patrons of what their library can do for them is her favorite part of the job. Recently, Kelsey has developed a “Librarians Recommend/Kelsey Reads Things” YouTube channel where she reviews books she’s read from the library, and also offers information and instructions for how to use free resources available to the public. You can find her YouTube channel here: She makes an effort to post a video at least once a week.

When Kelsey’s not at the library, she can usually be found running or hiking, reading, shopping for books, learning video editing tips, rewatching her favorite sitcoms and other readers’ book reviews, and writing her adult fantasy series. To reach Kelsey, please feel free to give her a call at 865-436-5588 ext. 105, or send her an email at
