Internet Policy:
Public use of the computer workstations for word processing, searching for information, educational programs and games is offered at no charge.
Computer sessions are limited to 30 minutes per session. A maximum of 3 sessions per day is allowed provided others are not waiting for access. Only library supplied hardware and software can be used on or connected to library computers.
Users under the age of 15 will be permitted to access the Internet only if a parent or guardian has signed the Internet Parental Consent Form. Parents or legal guardians, not library staff, are responsible for their children's use of the Internet. In order to comply with the requirements of section 9134 (f)(1) of the Library Services and Technology Act as provided by 20 U.S.C Section 9134 (f) (1), the library will operate a technolgy protection measure on all computers with internet access that protects against access through such computers to visual deceptions that are: (1) obscene; (2) pornography, or (3) harmful to minors. The library will enforce the operation of such technology protection measure during any use of such computers by minors. The technology protection measure on each computer can be turned off by request of an adult. Computer users who do not comply with the library's rules and policies will be reminded of the polices. Those who continue to violate rules after previous warnings will be restricted from using the computers.
All minors under the age of 13 are not permitted in the library, without parental supervision.
Forms are available at the circulation desk in the library and must be signed in person by both the youth and parent, consenting understanding for the rules and regulations of APPL library.
Public Computers Available -30 minutes per session, maximum 3 sessions allowed if no other patrons are waiting

Circulation:
- Books (materials) - 2 weeks (only 4 materials allowed per check-out)
- Audios (materials)- 2 weeks (only 4 materials allowed per check-out)
- DVD's & VHS tapes-3 days (only 2 videos allowed per family)
Drop box: All books, videos and audios can be dropped off in the after hours drop box, located in the front of the library. Any items dropped in drop-box after 10:00am will be counted the next day. Please bring all library items into the library during library hours for personal check-in or drop them in the circulation box.
Library Cards:Anna Porter Public Library lends to all residents of Sevier County. Proof of local residence required.
Interlibrary Loan: APPL borrows many books not held by this library for patrons from Tennessee libraries and beyond, as part of the Tennessee State Interlibrary Loan system.Reference Service: Call 436-5588

Internet Renewal: Must have member card number to sign-in to account
